I've just experienced the worst call in a service center ever. Called the ThinkPad Service Switzerland and got the most unfriendly - even rude - answers. I've bought a ThinkPad six (6) months ago including "On-Site Service Package – Next Business Day'. Last week I noticed a crack in the housing. The shape of the crack shows clearly that the machine hasn't dropped. The impertinent lady even didn't listen to my problem, she just told me 1. I have to send in the lap top (ahhh, this is the On-site service), 2. I have to read the Warranty Services Agreement that says that a broken housing is never covered (good idea, so cheap material can be used), 3. the estimate costs 120 Swiss Franks 4. the on-site service is at least 400 Swiss Franks (now I understand why I paid the extra money for the service package). Poor service, Lenovo - please provide your service center guys at least with a basic training in customer relationship! Not sure what I have to do now with my cracked ThinkPad.
