On Aug 2, 2017 our flight FR7973 from STN was delayed for 1,5 h & then rerouted to arrive to Frankfurt Hahn instead of BSL. Having arrived at FRA Hahn at 1am we were promised buses to BSL. Despite the FRA Hahn rep's efforts on behlaf of the Ryanair she failed to provide for us--3 adults & 2 children--and 20-25 more passengers (!) an alternative transportation to BSL. Instead we're told to take a taxi to BSL or a bus to Frankfurt Train Terminal and from there a train to Basel Train Terminal on our own. We opted for the latter.

This inconvenience caused not only a 12 h delay in arrival but also incurred the following costs: 1) "Bohr Omnibus GmbH" tickets for 95 Euro or 113,16 CHF, 2) "Deutsche Bahn" adult tickets FRA-BSL for 242 Euro or 288.73 CHF. (Most of the other stranded passenegers took a taxi 150. - Euro pro person to BSL)

This was NOT the end of the great vacation we have imagined for us. This was our first ever flight with Ryanair and can be very well our LAST one.

Based on the paragraphs 9.3 "Diversions, " 10.2 "Involuntary Refund" in the "General Terms & Conditions of Carriage" by Ryanair and the provided payment receipts we requested a reimbursement of the incurred total costs of 421.89 CHF to our bank account. Other passengers also filed a similar refund claim. Nevertheless, we were denied the refund claim based on:

1. The EU Regulation 261/2004, namely, that the cause of the incovenience was OUTSIDE the Ryanair CONTROL (the refer to a late start of outbound flight from STN due to a glitch in the comp. system that caused a congested airspace over GB and delayed the arrival of "our" plane from the previous assignment in Glasgow)
2. The statement from the Operations Services that they've provided surface transportation for ALL passangers.

Having contested both statements with the factual info, namely, that they were FULLY AWARE of the consequences of their actions (and thus acted incompetently) when they started lamost 2 h LATE (+1 h of time zone difference) to fly toward BSL, which was going to close for a well-known curfew (yet they tried to negotiate with them while in the air), and the FALSE report of their Operations services that they provided ground transportation for ALL passangers, they "sympathized with our views" and once more denied the claim.
